Edward J. Vanisky, D.M.D.
My name is EJ Vanisky and I want to thank you for choosing our practice. Chris Pace, Paul Gordon and I will work to ensure that you have the best oral surgical experience possible.
I grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Scranton with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1993. I graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1997 and felt honored and appreciative to have been elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society by my professors.
I spent the next 11 years on active duty in the US Army Dental Corps. It was an incredibly rewarding time during which I gained extensive oral surgical experience. I completed my oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in HI in 2004 and received certification from The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2006. My last active duty station was Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany where I served as chief of the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Managing extensive wartime facial injuries at Landstuhl was a very powerful time in my life, which has molded me as a person as well as a surgeon.
I met Chris while working in a private practice in VT and quickly realized that we share a common practice philosophy. We both strive to provide the highest quality, state of the art care and focus on providing a first class experience for our patients. We both ended up in MA and decided that the best way for us to realize our common practice goals and philosophy of patient care was to build a practice together from the ground up.
I enjoy practicing the full scope of our specialty with special interests in dental implant replacement of missing teeth and orthognathic (jaw repositioning) surgery. I have found both of these areas to be very rewarding due to their impact on the quality of life for my patients.
I understand that undergoing an oral surgical procedure can be very anxiety producing. My promise to you is that I will do any and everything possible to ease the stress of the experience. I take great care to provide the care I would want for a family member or for myself.
I spend every minute I can with my wife Tracy and our three children: Braeden, Rhys, and Avery. We try to get outdoors when possible and enjoy sailing, mountain biking, and skiing.
